The Field of Possibilities

Posted in Uncategorized on October 19, 2008 by managemyinterest

There is a legend about a man who dreamed of himself standing in a field with no boundaries. He asked an approaching stranger, “What is this field called?” He was answered, ‘Why, it’s the field of possibilities, so called because it is possible for all things to grow in it. There is no evil so terrible, no good so great that cannot be grown here; no sorrow so cruel, no joy so entrancing that cannot be harvested from this field; no poverty so overwhelming, no riches so grand but have been garnered here.” Looking around him, the man saw men and women. Some were burdened by great sorrows and troubles; others were free and joyous. Some suffered from dreadful pain; others were radiant with health. The man asked, “Why is it that some gather good from this field, and others evil?” The reply was: “Each reaps according to the seed he has planted. Each seed yields a harvest after its own kind. This field, called the field of possibilities, is also called the field of life.”

Truth about the bailout.

Posted in Uncategorized on October 14, 2008 by managemyinterest

I received “AIG bailout Solution” email about a week ago, and after reviewing it, realized that the math was completely off.  They claim that if you split $85 billion between the 200 million or so adults in the US that each would receive $425,000. The math is simply wrong and that number is in fact $425.

Here’s the scary part…

The day before receiving this email I had a discussion with my brother; he used the same number ($425,000) when talking about the $700 billion bailout. He apparently heard it on the radio along with thousands of other people. I tried to explain that the math was wrong but I myself didn’t pick up a calculator to figure it out.

So you have to ask yourself…

Are we all that ignorant or gullible that we don’t even pick up a calculator?

(Ask any 7th grader this question. If you have 200 million people and gave each $1,000, how much money would you have spent? The answer is $200 billion dollars which is far more than the $85 billion we are discussing!)

Was this email sent as propaganda or was it an honest mistake?

(Propaganda – information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.)

Making mistakes is ok as long as you are willing to make them right. Obviously this information has been spread throughout the internet (GoogleAIG bailout Solution) and also in the media and there are people out there that are looking at this issue through the eyes of misinformation.

Since this email was created our government passed a $700 billion dollar bailout (which doesn’t include the $600 billion pumped into the economy on Sept 29th ) to help the banks recover for their own greed and I think it is important that everyone should understand what impact it will have on them and their loved ones. This information is based on facts and can be verified by literature created by the Federal Reserve itself. To understand this further I Highly recommend you watch the first section of the online movie “Zeitgeist – Addendum”.

(See – Modern Money Mechanics written by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago)

Money is created out of debt. When the government needs $700 billion dollars they create treasury bonds which they exchange with the Federal Reserve for the new money. This money must be paid back with interest and with a little research you will realize that this is why the IRS was created and you pay taxes. This also doesn’t take into account inflation which is essentially is a hidden tax but I’ll get back to that later.

(See – Freedom to Fascism)

Creating new money to bailout ailing companies and banks is like the following scenario:

A college student who doesn’t have a source of income was extended three credit cards. After splurging on new cloths, a flat screen TV and beer for everyone, he is thousands of dollars in debt. Unable to make the monthly payments he applies for and receives another credit card just to pay the monthly minimums on his first three cards. As you can see from this example the problem of spending and making poor decisions were never addressed. He will pay for these debt in the future or find himself in financial ruin. If the trend continues it may be future generations that will suffer because of his poor money management.

Although this example is very basic it is by no means the extent of our problems because it doesn’t take into account the magic of our monetary system.  Money in the system can be expanded and contracted at the Federal Reserves discretion. I will leave it up to you to watch “Zeitgeist – Addendum” and research Modern Money Mechanics written by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago so that you have a better understanding but in a nut shell the $1.3 Trillion created last week could potentially become over $10 trillion in new money.

Here is where inflation “effect” (not actual inflation) comes in because of a weakened dollar (dilution). Unless we are able to produce more in the way of goods and services which is highly unlikely considering the current job market and business closures, you will find yourself paying a whole lot more for the things you need to survive. We are about to see a financial disaster unlike any ever experienced and unless we look at the current money system and make the needed change to get our economy back in line.

So what is money, really?

Posted in Save your way to a debt free existence on August 15, 2008 by managemyinterest

In general we can say that money is debt; however the most fitting definition for money that I could find is this.

Definition – A tool to facilitate the exchange of goods and services and which is backed solely by the user’s confidence.

For a long time, I gave very little thought to what money truly was. I don’t think I was different than most people. I just assumed that everything was alright, and our government had its citizens’ best interest in mind. I see things clearer now, and I hope that this blog will open some of your minds up to the true concept of money.

So what is money, really? Money is a tangible representation of your energy (labor). Think about that for a moment.

Before paper money was invented, people utilized the bartering system. If I had a bushel of corn and needed a beaver pelt, I could trade for it. The bushel of corn represented a hard day’s work in the field, while the beaver pelt represented a hard day’s work hunting. I exchanged my energy (labor) for yours. To put this in perspective; the average worker at Wal-Mart makes somewhere in the neighborhood of $8 an hour, which equates to just over $16,000 per year. What could this person trade their money for other than their own poverty? How have people been so devalued that they will work 40 hours a week and still be well below the poverty line.

Money is the same as the old bartering system with one major difference. The financially elite and our government have found better ways to extract our energies (labor) and devalue it’s worth. It’s not a coincidence that the Federal Reserve was created and that the IRS followed soon after.  Both of these agencies were created to extract energy (labor) from the American people. Most people don’t know this, but most of the money we pay in taxes goes back to paying interest on money created (magically) through the Federal Reserve, a private banking cartel. This is the huge number that we call the national debt. If you watched “stop paying full price and learn the secrets becoming debt-free in 5 to 15 years” video you would learned that the average American will work six to eight months just paying off interest on their home and taxes to Uncle Sam.

Before fiat money, the only thing that would prevent you from having everything you needed was laziness or an act of God. Now, it doesn’t matter how much you make, because the majority of your money is being paid to someone else. If you haven’t seen it I suggest you watch “Money is Debt” and “Fiat Empire”. For those of you who would like to understand the more technical aspects of the money system, you can download “Modern Money Mechanics” which was written by the Federal Reserve branch in Chicago. You’ll find it on the right side of this blog.

Is procrastination costing you money?

Posted in Save your way to a debt free existence on August 14, 2008 by managemyinterest

I recently got married and had been putting off switching my car insurance. I know I’d been paying too much over the last couple years, but I really hated dealing with those types of things. The bill for my next six months came due so I finally decided to shop around.  My new wife and I decided to get insurance together to take advantage of the multiple car discounts, and the fact that we were married. The end result, we saved over $900 per year, and literally cut our insurance bill in half. I could have switch my insurance, long before I did and save hundreds of dollars year yet laziness and procrastination prevented me from doing so. Don’t fall into the same trap. If you feel your car insurance is a little high, shop around. With the Internet it takes only a few clicks and a few moments your time.

Save $2,000 a year!

Posted in Save your way to a debt free existence on August 14, 2008 by managemyinterest

Coupons are a simple way to save $100-$200 per month. When I first started using them, I was young and living on my own; it was more out of necessity than anything else. Sure I could have paid full price for the groceries, but it would’ve left me little else for the things that I enjoyed. I was fortunate to have that experience, because it gave me insight that has saved me tens of thousands of dollars over the last eight years. I want to give you an example of what I mean. I went to the grocery store today, but before leaving, I took a few moments to look at the grocer’s website and made a list of the things I needed. Then I searched my local paper and www.buyfromyourself.com, for coupons that corresponded with those items. I think it’s appropriate to say one thing, spending money on things that you don’t need is not saving you money. I’ve seen many websites out there make outrageous claims about how much you can save with coupons, but they focus on the savings and not the items that are being purchased; many of which would never be used. One thing I do focus on is “buy one, get one free.”  You can use multiple coupons or money, off a purchase of two. I typically shop once a week to maximize savings.  So here’s a breakdown of what I purchased:

2 – Sara Lee Strawberry Cheesecake
2 – Mini Egg Rolls
1 – Mrs. T. Pierogies
1 – Pledge
1 – Pledge Duster Starter Kit
2 – Oral-B Cross Action, Electric Toothbrush
1 – Nature’s Own Bread
2 – Flaxseed Cookies
2 – Natural Temptation, Cat Treats
1 – Schick Women’s Extreme Comfort Razors
2 – Tennessee Pride, Mild Sausage
2 – Organic Milk

The total for everything before savings was $92.79.

Vendor coupons – $34.52
Store coupon – $1
Advertise Special Savings – $10.98
Advantage Buy Savings – $2.68

Total savings – $49.18

Total out-of-pocket – $43.61

I typically spend $80-$90 per week in groceries, of which I save $30-$50 per week using coupons and shopping for “buy one, get one free.” This savings adds up to $1,500-$2,500 per year. This could be the difference between having to get a second job, or having to sacrifice on the things that truly make you happy. If you don’t necessarily need to save, think of it this way. It uses money to invest in debts you already have. Most people will realize between 20% and 30% return on investment and no risk. When was the last time your stockbroker offered you that? To learn more on how you can save money and become debt free, canceling out unnecessary interest, visit www.managemyinterest.com

Time for change!

Posted in The world as I see it. on July 25, 2008 by managemyinterest

In this information age it’s amazing how very little the average American knows about business and finance. I guess we’re all to busy watching American Idol and TMZ. We’re so caught up in everyone else’s life! For those that wish to control you, things couldn’t be better. We’re slaves to multinational corporations, big government and an inefficient monetary system lead by the banking cartels! A few years ago I would have pointed the finger and said that they were in the wrong but I see things differently now. The only power they have over us is the power we give them. Who’s worse the drug dealer or the drug addict? One would not exist without the other. We lay down at the feet of our nations elite hoping for the scraps from there table. Waiting for the government to raise minimum wage so our employer can give us a few extra pennies per hour, only to find it’s eaten up by out of control inflation. I’m done eating scraps and if your reading this you probably feel the same way. Our power is in our numbers and together we can create an environment were our goal isn’t simply to survive. The first step is to stop excepting the world as the media and big business presents it.  They have one purpose and that is to sell you stuff you probably don’t need. Step two is to do the research and put into practice the techniques found in this blog, our video’s and websites. Last but certainly not least, teach other’s to do the same. So what are you waiting for, the world isn’t going to fix itself.
